- Appraise knowledge of physics and instrumentation associated with nuclear imaging
- Outline the rationale for stress perfusion imaging and the use of new pharmacologic tracers
- Select patients for nuclear cardiology procedures based on Appropriate Use Criteria
- Describe radiation reduction methods in nuclear cardiology, including instrumentation, software and lower radiation imaging protocols
- Compare and contrast the strengths and weaknesses of other nuclear cardiac imaging procedures and how they can be most effectively incorporated
- Describe the role of multimodality imaging to enhance patient care
- Review and improve interpretation skills in standard and emerging technologies in nuclear cardiology
The course is also designed as an interactive program with panel discussions presented by a renowned nuclear cardiology
faculty.
