The International Conference on Human Resource Development for Nuclear Power Programmes: Building and Sustaining Capacity will be held in Vienna 12-16 May 2014.
The International Conference on Human Resource Development (HRD) for Nuclear Power Programmes: Building and Sustaining Capacity, organized by the IAEA, commences on 12 May 2014 at the IAEA headquarters in Vienna.
More than 300 participants and experts from nearly 70 countries are expected to attend this event that focuses on the global challenges of developing competencies in personnel engaged in all levels of nuclear technology - from the operator to the regulator.
Ms. Marta Ziaková, Chairperson of the Slovak Regulatory Authority, will chair the five-day Conference from 12 to 16 May 2014 that consists of five topical sessions. The sessions will cover a wide range of topics that include: building capacity to meet the global demands for human resources development in the field of nuclear power programmes; addressing the various education and training issues pertaining to nuclear knowledge management, good practices, lessons learned as well as its future prospects, attracting and reaching out to the next generation of nuclear professionals; and various nuclear knowledge networks and their related initiatives, programmes and challenges.
