International Symposium Quantification in Medical and preclinical imaging: state of the art and future developments

The Medical Imaging Center of the University Medical Center Groningen, consisting of the Departments of Nuclear Medicine & Molecular Imaging and Radiology, cordially invites you to join the International Symposium “Quantification in Medical and Preclinical Imaging: state of the art and future developments” to be held in Groningen, the Netherlands, on September 20th till 22nd, 2016.

During the symposium the focus will be on quantification looking at state of the art technology, future developments and both clinical and preclinical applications of all imaging technologies, such as SPECT/CT, PET/CT, PET/MRI, MRI, CT and optimal imaging.

Moreover, an international panel of experts, coming from different fields, will discuss use of these technologies in a quantitative and hybrid setting, thereby referring to the convergence of imaging departments into one center in the Netherlands. In addition, the need for quantification and standardization as prerequisite for making medical imaging the cornerstone of precision medicine will be emphasized.

The international symposium will thus detail these trends from all the different aforementioned perspectives. Therefore, the symposium provides a unique platform for all involved in hybrid and quantitative medical imaging as well as those interested in technology development to be updated on the latest developments, to envision the future, to account for the implications from different angles of view and to develop an opinion through the expert lectures and discussion with peers.

Kind regards,

The organizing committee
