Join the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology (ASNC) for a dynamic nuclear cardiology program on
April 25-27 in Orlando, Florida. Prepare for challenges in 2014 by getting in-depth instruction on the latest practices and new applications in heart failure management, SPECT & PET technology updates, the future of Cardio-Oncology, radiation dose reduction, and more!

This program will increase learners' competence and performance in solving clinical, technical and practical issues facing nuclear cardiology imaging professionals. Participants will be able to gain competence on procedures that reduce radiation dose, apply appropriate use criteria and guidelines when setting-up nuclear cardiology studies, learn the latest advances in software, hardware, new tracers, new applications to enhance diagnostic confidence, as well as the evolving role of multimodality imaging.
At the end of the program attendees will be able to:
  • Describe recent advances in nuclear cardiology, including SPECT and PET, and evaluate and apply these advances to improve patient care;
  • Outline the rationale for stress perfusion imaging and the use of new pharmacologic tracers;
  • Select patients for nuclear cardiology procedures based on Appropriate Use Criteria;
  • Describe radiation reduction methods in nuclear cardiology, including instrumentation, software and lower radiation imaging protocols;
  • Compare and contrast the strengths and weaknesses of other nuclear cardiac imaging procedures and how they can be most effectively incorporated;
  • Describe the role of multimodality imaging to enhance patient care;
  • Review and improve interpretation skills in standard and emerging technologies in nuclear cardiology;
  • Employ optimal methodology to interpret and report nuclear cardiology studies;
  • Evaluate the potential of new imaging agents, including 123I-mIBG in clinical practice; and
  • Describe the role of Image Guide (ASNC Registry) in establishing and documenting uniform QI measures.
Each session includes a panel discussion with elite experts in the nuclear cardiology field.
